Donald Amstad has been a Director of Aberdeen Asset Management Asia Ltd since joining the company in Singapore in March 2007. He started his career in London at Nomura (1983-1987) before moving on to JPMorgan (1987-2001), Bank of America (2001- 2004) and JPMorgan Asset Management (2004-2007). He has almost 30 years’ experience in fixed income markets and has lived in Asia for over 15 years.
Keith Balmer, Director, is a member of the BlackRock Multi Asset Strategies group, which is responsible for developing, assembling and managing investment solutions involving multiple strategies and asset classes. Within BlackRock Multi Asset Strategies group, as a senior product strategist, Mr. Balmer serves as a link between the investment team and account managers. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Balmer worked at Man Group for over 13 years. Mr. Balmer was a client portfolio manager at AHL, the London based managed futures business owned by Man Group. His responsibilities included interacting with institutional and retail clients globally as well as maintaining the full AHL product range. Previously, Mr. Balmer worked in Regional Sales based in Pfaffikon, Switzerland, looking after clients predominantly across Asia. Mr. Balmer earned a BSc degree, with honors, in mathematics and european studies from University of Exeter in 1999.
Dominique Boehler is responsible for the listed Structured Products and ETF distribution business in Switzerland. He started his career in 2004 where he was responsible for the launch of the French listed Structured Products business for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. He then moved to the Swiss distribution business of Structured Products in 2007. After having joined Commerzbank in 2009 he, in addition to the Structured Products business, received the mandate for the distribution of ETFs in Switzerland. Dominique Boehler holds an MSc degree in Operational Research (applied mathematics) from the London School of Economics and Politica Science, is married and the father of a son.
Alfred Bryant is a Director of Credit Suisse Asset Management. He is a Portfolio Manager and Director of ILC Research in the HOLT Active Equity Group. Mr. Bryant joined Credit Suisse in 2005. During this time, Mr. Bryant has focused on developing and implementing global equity investment strategies based upon the HOLT framework. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr. Bryant spent four years as a portfolio manager for institutional and private clients at Segall Bryant & Hamill Investment Counsel, based in Chicago. Mr. Bryant holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BA in Urban Studies and Economics from the College of Wooster and is a CFA charterholder.
André Buck took over responsibility of SIX Swiss Exchange as Head Sales as of September 2014. He joined the Swiss exchange in August 2009 as Head of Sales & Marketing of SIX Structured Products Exchange Ltd (formerly known as Scoach Switzerland Ltd.). After working for 14 years in various trading departments at UBS Zürich and London, André Buck was at the forefront when the structured product market began to emerge. He joined ZKB in 2000 where he became joint-responsible for setting up the structured product desk. Whilst working for ZKB he was actively involved in the steering committee which brought about the establishment of the SSPA (Swiss Structured Products Association). Prior to joining SIX Structured Products Exchange, André Buck held the position as Head of Sales at Bank Vontobel in Zürich. He completed various education programs, last in September 2014 the SFI International Bank Management Program (Swiss Finance Institute). He is married and has two teenage children.
Simone Galvagno is a Structured Product Sales at Leonteq, covering Ticino. His mission is to further develop the structured products business in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. He started his career at BNP Paribas as structured products sales-trader and then moved to Commerzbank as a structured product sales covering Ticino and Monaco. He joined Leonteq in January 2015. Simone holds a double Master Degree from ESCP Europe business school in Paris and from City University London, and a bachelor degree from Turin University.
Massimiliano Gnesi has 13 years of investment experience ranging from rates relative value and arbitrage to management of large global fixed income absolute return portfolios. He has been lead portfolio manager of the multibillion absolute return products at Vontobel Asset Management since 2009. Prior to joining Vontobel, he co-founded Old Brompton Capital Management, a start-up alternative asset manager specialized in fixed income macro relative value investments. From 2004 to 2006 Massimiliano worked at Concordia Advisors, a multi-strategy hedge fund, as a fixed income trader specialized in directional rates strategies. Previously, he was a fixed income trader at CAAM Asset Management, managing a rates relative value overlay across different VaR products. He received his degree (magna cum laude) in Financial Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College London.
Gregor Hirt is Chief Investment Officer Europe and Switzerland in the Global Investment Solutions (GIS) team. Furthermore, he has overall responsibility for setting strategy across all relative oriented mandates and funds. Gregor is a voting member of the Asset Allocation & Currency Investment Committee. He also conducts research and analysis in support of asset allocation strategy setting. Gregor joined UBS Global Asset Management in 2014 and has over 19 years‘ industry experience.
Anja Hochberg (CIO Switzerland and Europe – Credit Suisse) studied economic history, macroeconomics and law in Berlin, successfully completed postgraduate studies in the field of international economics at the College of Europe in Brügge, Belgium and earned her doctorate at the University of Wales. In addition, she was engaged as professor of economics for four years at the University of Wales, focusing on the area of international financial markets. Ms. Hochberg served as a member on the Managing Director Evaluation Committee (MDEC) during 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 1999, Ms Hochberg transitioned from her academic endeavours to economic practice, moving to the economics department of the Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen (Helaba) in Frankfurt. Here she was responsible for analyzing the G7 economies and financial markets. Since January 2001, Ms Hochberg has been employed within Credit Suisse holding senior research and asset management positions. As the Head of macro research she was until 2009 on a global level responsible for economic analysis, interest rates & yield forecast and the analysis of foreign exchange, commodity & real estate market. As per August 09 she has been appointed the Head of Investment Strategy for Asset Management division. Since August 2013, Dr. Hochberg is the Banks Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Europe and Switzerland.
Dr. Andreas Homberger is Head of Research at Hinder Asset Management. Before, he was Chief Investment Officer at Maerki Baumann, a private bank in Zurich. From 2000 to 2009, he worked at UBS where he held several leadership functions in the area of portfolio management. Andreas has a Ph.D. in Finance from University of St. Gallen. He is an active member of the Swiss Society for Financial Markets Research.
Serge Kassibrakis Head of Quantitative Asset Management, Director, Member of Senior Management. Serge graduated from Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace, obtained a master degree in Astro Physics from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and received a PhD in theoretical Physics from Université de Provence. Working at Swissquote since 2001, he is since 2009 Head of the Quantitative Asset Management department, Director, Member of senior management of Swissquote Bank, leading a group of 5 mathematicians and physicists who are in charge of developing among others, the ePrivateBanking service.
Wei Li, CFA, is head of EMEA investment strategy for iShares. Her team’s responsibility is to deliver investment ideas and market insights to institutional clients and financial advisors. Ms. Li’s service with the firm dates back to August 2010. Prior to joining BlackRock, Ms. Li was an Equity Derivatives Trader at Citigroup London covering ETFs and European sectors. Ms. Li began her career in Rates Sales Trading in Lehman Brothers London. Ms. Li holds a BSc (Hons) and Master in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where her areas of specialization include Number Fields and Quantum Mechanics.
Raimund Müller is Head UBS ETFs Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He joined the Exchange Traded Funds team at UBS Global Asset Management in August 2012 based in Zurich and is responsible for sales activities. Prior to UBS, Raimund was in an institutional sales position within the asset management units at Deutsche Bank and Lombard Odier. Raimund Müller is CIIA-certified, holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Curtin University of Technology in Perth and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur.
After 8 years in banking, Alain Picard joined SIX Swiss Exchange in 2001 as Product Manager for Equities including structured products and ETFs. In the past years he concentrated his activities mainly on the development and marketing of the ETF segment and the relationship management with issuers and market makers. Alain is also responsible for the introduction of new financial product segments such as Exchange Traded Products (2010) and Sponsored Funds (2013). Since 2011 he is responsible for the product management of all trading segments. Alain holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an executive master in private banking and wealth management from Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences.

Bernardi activity is oriented to the development of mathematic models, which simplify investors and family offices decision making processes, for risk reduction. He is the author of interesting academic papers about innovation in finance, published by Wilmott Magazine in May 2014 and on Journal of Accounting and Finance in April 2015. Peter Botoucharov is an emerging market credit analyst in the Fixed Income Division at T. Rowe Price. He is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. and T. Rowe Price International Ltd. Mr. Botoucharov has 22 years of investment experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, he was director of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) macroeconomic research and strategy at Standard Bank in London. Mr. Botoucharov also held positions with Commerzbank Securities in London, the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. and the Bulgarian National Bank in Sofia, Bulgaria. Jens Brunke is Managing Director at CM-Equity AG in Munich and responsible for the portfolio management of the CME Gold & Silver Equity Fund. Also he acts as Authorized Officer for CM-Equity. After his business studies in Augsburg (Germany) and Berkeley (USA), Jens Brunke had leading positions in portfolio management, equity analysis and corporate finance for 13 years, including 8 years as managing director. Apart from his comprehensive expertise in portfolio management, he has a broad network to companies and investors around the world. At the beginning of his career Jens Brunke started as Equity Analyst on stock listed companies at LBBW (Landesbank Baden-Württemberg). Main focus was on Tech and Logistics. He took over the portfolio management department which he started to restructure. On June 7th, 2013 CM-Equity launched the CM-Equity Global Natural Resources Index in cooperation with Solactive (SLA5CM). The index is focused on natural resources (energy, industrial metals and precious metals) including all parts of the life cycle of a resource company (exploration, development and production). The index includes 60 equally weighted stocks and is rebalanced every 6 months. Since September 21st, 2015 Jens Brunke is responsible for the portfolio management of the CME Gold & Silver Equity Fund. Especially the creation and implementation of the selection criteria is based on the know-how Jens Brunke collected over more than 10 years in the mining sector and was first successfully implemented in the CM-Equity Global Natural Resources Index. In the whole downturn of the market there was not a single insolvency in the index but 13 companies out of the 60 have been taken over or merged. Jens Brunke is frequently interviewed by media (Germany, Austria, Canada) on natural resources. He has been on various site visits including countries like Finland, Sweden, Albania, Germany, Honduras, Nicaragua, USA and Canada in his career. In 2005, when acting as portfolio manager for Gebhard & Co. Wertpapierhandelsbank AG, Jens Brunke won the „Depot Contest“ of DAB Bank, n-tv and Capital for managing the best portfolio of 40 Asset Managers in Germany. Performance of 54.98% in one year.

Delphine has been working for several years as associate by a leading international law firm in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. She also was legal counsel for a Minister in charge of economic and international affairs in Brussels. She joined the SFAMA in 2011 and is coordinating the Legal & Compliance Experts Committee. Delphine holds a Master’s degree in law from the U.C.L. (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium) as well as a Master’s degree in European studies from the I.E.U.G. (European Institute of the University of Geneva) and a Postgraduate in Transnational Law (Geneva University).

Eric started his career as a fund accountant with PFPC. From 2003 to 2005, he was an auditor with Ernst & Young and KPMG in Luxembourg. In 2005, Eric joined Mercuria Services (subsequently Mercuria Management Company), a prominent Luxembourg third party management company, where he was responsible for Business Analysis and Risk Management before taking up the role of General Manager. A certified professional coach, Eric holds an Aggregation in Banking & Financial Markets in France and graduated from the Dijon School of Business. Eric is also a member of various professional committees, including ALFI’s Human Resources & Training Committee. Within this committee, he is responsible for Fund Accounting training programs.He speaks fluently French and English.
Managing Partner and member of the Board of SELECTRA Management Company S.A. the Luxembourg-based SuperManco part of the independent FARAD Group, active since 2001, in the European financial and insurance sectors. Thanks to his background as Finance Engineer Marco Cipolla supervises the Manco’s activity concerning set-up, management and distribution of UCITS and AIF investment funds. In addition, he also acts as conducting officer and member of the board for other Luxembourg companies and investment funds. Before he joined SELECTRA, Marco Cipolla worked first for an Italian management company and then, from 2007 to 2013, as project manager for FIA Asset Management S.A.

Roberto Colapinto is the founder and CEO of Abalone Asset Management. He was before Head of Regional Coverage responsible for Southern Europe and Latin America for Credit Agricole (Investment Services) since 2013 being based in Luxembourg. Prior to that he was Direttore Generale of Edmond de Rothschild Europe that he established in Milan in 2007. He started his career with State Street in London in 1998. He moved to Zurich in 2000 and became responsible for all Institutional Clients. He then moved to Milan in 2004 where he managed for State Street the acquisition of Deutsche Bank Securities Services in Italy. Roberto holds a BSc Hons from University of Brighton in European Business and Technology. He also holds Laurea di Produzione Industriale from the Politecnico di Torino.
Jérôme Collet is a Senior Portfolio Manager within Lombard Odier Investment Managers’ Fundamental fixed income team. He joined the company in January 2010. Prior to joining, Jérôme was risk manager and quantitative analyst in the euro fixed income investment center at Fortis Investments in Paris. Following the merger with ABN AMRO Asset Management in 2007, he developed and managed quantitative strategies at the merged organisation in London. Previously, he was a teacher and researcher in finance and statistics at the University of Reims in France. He began his career as a researcher in finance and mathematics at Queensland University of Technology in Australia in 2004. Jérôme earned a PhD in mathematics from the University of Reims in 2003.
After obtaining his degree in 2001 in Institutions and Financial Market Management from Bocconi University, Milan, he started working in the financial markets for several private companies in Italy specializing in Equity Index derivatives and options. Yves Tambour has more than 20 years’ expertise in the financial industry, in particular in asset management.
Since 1993, Yves has assisted global market leaders in making strategic decisions, establishing key partnerships, developing new products and services, and improving operating models across EMEA. In 1994, Yves founded Consultment, a consultancy firm aimed at sharing knowledge, innovating and developing initiatives to support the asset management industry, such as fund hubs, information services and regulatory filing providers, etc.
Yves is also involved in international activities associated with the asset management industry, the harmonisation of marketing rules and the modernisation of market infrastructures. Yves regularly speaks at conferences, gives training and has authored articles and publications on these topics.
Prior to joining Symbiotics, Luca cumulated over 26 years of experience as an for investment adviser in the financial markets for institutional clients and was the developer of the client bases for several of Geneva’s private banks such as Mirabaud, LODH & Cie and Pictet. After many years working in traditional banking, he was drawn to responsible and sustainable investment themes such as microfinance, impact investing especially in the emerging markets. By engaging in this thematic, he has been able to offer investors insights into the benefits of a “double bottom line” approach. He is a member of the Finra and holds the Licence of Registered Regional Representative and a psychology degree from the University of Geneva.
Karim, Swiss citizen, was appointed Managing Partner of Hedge Invest (Suisse) SA in July 2006 and is Founding Partner and Member of the Board of Directors. Karim is Member of the Board of Directors of the HEGDE INVEST GLOBAL SICAV PLC and the HEDGE INVEST SPECIALIST SELECTION SICAV PLC.
Before co-founding Hedge Invest (Suisse) SA, from 2000 to 2006 he worked as quantitative analyst and fund manager assistant for One Investments (Lugano, Switzerland), advisors to the Antares European Fund (named Best 2006 Equity Europe Hedge Fund over $500m AUM by EuroHedge). Prior to joining One Investments, he also worked as risk manager in Banca della Svizzera Italiana (BSI, Generali Group), one of the oldest and biggest private banks in Switzerland.
Since 2001 Karim has written articles on the Hedge Fund industry and has participated as a speaker in alternative investment seminars. He is a member of the Ticino Finance Fiduciary since 2006 and also a member of the relative disciplinary body (OAD FT). He graduated with the highest honours in Business Administration and Corporate Finance from Bocconi University (Milan) in 1997, and he has been a CFA® charterholder since 2003.
Dr. Luca M. Venturi is a senior financial media relations and public affairs specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the organisation of complex and cross border media campaigns throughout Europe, The Middle East and Africa.
He has advised several Banks and numerous political and economic public figures. Currently, he is a member of the Communications Advisory team to the Office of the Prime Minister of a G8 Country.
A journalist and author, he has developed a vast experience in international media at Hill and Knowlton International and Burson-Marsteller.
Responsible for managing the International Development of the company across all different asset classes, including cash, derivatives, fixed income and FX, targeting both institutional and retail clients. With a 12-years consolidated expertise on cash equity and derivatives products, leading the business development with global Exchanges and MTFs. Reporting to the CEO, in charge of the analysis and the implementation of all strategic opportunities across the International business.
Portfolio Manager since 1993 at Allianz Global Investors, Mauro has always been in charge of international & domestic bond products. Prior to joining AllianzGI, Mauro worked at the Financial Services Unit of IBM SEMEA S.p.A managing interest-rate risk and coordinating the group’s financial and borrowing strategies. Before that, he worked in the forex management and foreign treasury at the Treasury Management Department of IBM Italia S.p.A. He holds a bachelor in Business Administration (with honors) from Bocconi University, Milan, and is a CFA charterholder since 2000.

Franz Welponer is the head of Wholesale Distribution at Natixis Global Asset Management for Italy, Ticino, Malta, Greece and Cyprus. He joined the company in 2006 first serving as Investment Director and Institutional Sales with particular focus on the fund selector market. Mr.Welponer began his professional career working for PensPlan Invest SGR, an investment boutique in Northern Italy, first as an analyst and then as a portfolio manager and head of the company’s commingled fund management office. He holds a degree in international economics and business administration from University of Innsbruck in Austria and a specialization in finance and financial markets from University of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ingo Werner has more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector and financial markets becoming a specialist of the asset management. Before joining FIA in 2009 he has worked in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Singapore and Hong Kong for UBS and Banca del Gottardo /BSI.
He is a seasoned expert in compliance and legal issues in the collective investment schemes sector. He was Head of Compliance and an Executive Director at UBS Fund Management (Switzerland) AG, where he held various positions from 1999 onwards. A member of the Bar of the Canton of Bern, Thomas Zimmerli completed the Diploma of Advanced Studies Compliance Management postgraduate course at the Institute of Financial Services Zug IFZ of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
